About The Project

Asia-Link Project 44 aims to promote regional and multilateral networking between higher education institutions in Europe, South East Asia and China.

Specifically, we endeavour to achieve the following objectives:

* To advance the knowledge and skills of teaching staff and postgraduate students by introducing state-of-the-art technologies in ship design, production and operation towards safety, efficiency and low environmental impact;

* To enhance and strengthen collaboration between European maritime education departments and institutions with counterparts in Asia;

* To introduce Asian students to a wider range of postgraduate training opportunities in Europe;

* To promote technology transfer between marine industries and economic development in Europe and Asia through academic activities conducted by Asia-Link.

Through this project, a Euro-Asian Maritime Network (EAMARNET) - including leading academic members of staff and industrialists in China, Thailand and Europe, will be established to benefit all partners in the long run. We hope that results from this project will contribute to academia and inform Government policy making.
